Other then not being able to handle the pressure in NY what other reason could there be?

  1. kovalev is awesome.

    end of story.

  2. honestly kovalev was pretty hit or miss in pittsburgh as well he had some good months and terrible months his strongest area was on the pens powerplay and as far as i remember that was pretty much the only place he excelled, he also had an amazing team surrounding him in pgh so that can make a player seem better than they really are, think of kevin stevens in the early 90's  for the pens.

  3. a lot of players feel presured playing in NY, big city and dont excell

  4. no no no. alex stunk up montreal before this season. he made adjustments before the season realizing he had to keep moving and getting open. alex excelled in NY before he left the first time. i know he likes NY and spends alot of time in the brighten beach area in brooklyn.

  5. I don't think he hated NY. For many years he was a classic underachiever. I think he tended to be a little lazy during the regular season. Maybe he has matured since then and found his place in the world.

  6. He felt uncomfortable, and not himself.

    Kovalev is 35.

He never stated that he "hated" New York. He just didn't fit in.
