I mean really, I'm all for the animals being treated fairly, but I think the idea that the horse's jockey intentially abused the horse & that he should be suspended is a little extreme.

Anyone else have a thought?????

  1. It is disgustingly extreme.

  2. PETA goes WAY too far with everything they do and say.

  3. No, I don't think so. Given how severe the accident was, doesn't a suspension make sense? In most other fields, when something goes wrong, the person in control faces a suspension, at least until no wrongdoing is found. I do not know about the physiology of horses, but it seems credible that if she had been running so hard that her ankles were about to break, she would be showing some signs of distress or discomfort. At the very least, the case seems to deserve some looking in to, in order to determine if the jockey did push her too hard, or without regard for her health.

I'm not sure if this jockey himself deserves animal cruelty charges (that should be looked in to), but it would seem that the industry as a whole has some serious animal cruelty issues.

  4. The people in PETA are all a bunch of idiots.  Enough said.

  5. yea they took it too far

  6. I think they have gone way too far.  The jockey feels bad enough and for them to start this is just being cruel to him.

  7. um.........YES

    he deserves what he got

    if anyone hasn't noticed

    the horse is DEAD

because some idiot wanted her to win a big plate of metal

    the horses are too young

just because of that the horse had to suffer

if that were my horse it would just be getting trained at 3 years old

and the only person getting on it would be me

    i should know i have 2

so yea the person deserves it
