I'm not saying I would vote for McCain and not Obama, it's just that people who have influences in others' decision for the '08 election shouldn't be announcing to the country who'd they'd vote for.

Teachers aren't allowed to share their political opinions for example, so why should the Clintons have to tell everyone who they support?

A lot of people could move over to the Democratic side just becuase the Clintons have announced to the world they support Obama- irregardless of how suitable he is for presidency compared to McCain.

They could be right by choosing Obama, but do they have to announce it to everyone? Are they going to announce anything for McCain? Do you think it's fair?

  1. Endorsements are part of the nature of party politics.  Every visible, prominent Democrat will say that he or she supports Obama as every visible, prominent Republican will say the same about McCain.

  2. is it fair for people to tell other people what flavour of drink they are having? would this not unfairly convince others that this is the better flavour? the clintons are free to do what they like.

  3. i think it is  people should be smart enough not to base their vote on wat the clintons choose , and instead on wat candidate they feel is better for the country , uninformed voters really shouldnt be voting if they dont know all the facts

  4. Teacher's aren't allowed to share their political opinions? Academia shoves its left wing agenda from K-12 through the colleges .

That is why you have so many young paranoid fruitcakes on here.

  5. u are stupid

  6. REGARDLESS of the 'Fairness' that you demand from  the Democrats how fair is the right wing, really? Imagine that your buying power had been reduced by half- this would not begin to eat into a rich person's income as they more than likely have three or four times the income necessary to pay for their immediate needs. I attribute this lack of sack to the sedentary, left and right wing fanatic couch warmer who can barely satisfy his spouse let alone take the initiative to vote with his unused hand.

  7. it's a free nation... with free speech... how is it not fair?

you have to be an adult to vote... are people so naive as to just go "well, der.... der... der... Clinton said vote Obama... me vote Obama"?

    I don't think so... we're adults here...

that's why teachers don't share their views... they deal with children...

you in no way say how it is unfair... only state that it is...

expressing your opinion is the foundation of our democracy...

most Republicans have and will express their support for McCain... it's just the way it goes...

  8. Unfair? Not at all.

In your example of teachers, it's perfectly allowable for a teacher to express a political opinion... just not while on the job (and off the job, it should be clear that it's a private opinion, not the school's).

As political figures, it is quite reasonable for former President and Senator Clinton to express their political support for one candidate or another.  They are not in positions which depend on political neutrality.

  9. They may support him in public, but they will sabotage him behind closed doors. Hillary knows that she'll be a lock for the nomination in 2012 if Obama loses.

  10. Yes, it is fair.  They are Democratic Politicians and they have the right to support their fellow Democrats.  The world know they are Democrats anyhow.
