i supported mccain and even donated money to his campaign up until i heard who he picked as his vp. this is pretty scary.as a mother of 2 teenagers it REALLY scares me! against all abortion rights even in the case of incest. nothing like potentially giving power to the criminal instead of the victim. she does not believe in anything but abstinence. what will this do to young women in our country

  1. If you believe a child begins at conception, how do you justify killing it. On the other side - there are ways other than abstinence and Presidents dont get to set roe v Wade - so its not a voting issue. Think your teenagers would like the idea of a woman being accepted as an equal.

  2. no but don't worry your pretty little head over it. Sarah will protect you.

  3. Nope. Nor do I think you supported McCain.

Edward S - I wonder if your statement could be considered a sexual offense against a minor? It would be funny if you had to register as a s*x offender the rest of your life for saying that.

  4. Men can't kill a baby fetus legally, neither should a woman.

  5. It furthers it, and I have now contributed to her campaign!

  6. Your question lacks thought. How could a WOMAN becoming the first WOMAN elected to the position of Vice President "set womens rights back"? Makes no sense whatsoever. Her personal beliefs on any particular subject does not change laws, congress does.

  7. Palin's candidacy is the political equivalent of McCain hiring a good looking "administrative assistant" (secretary).

It is, if anything, an affront to women.

  8. No it won't set women's rights back because America will be reminded that conservative Republicans know nothing about women's rights. It has always been the liberal Democrats that have actually advanced women's rights and it will continue to be that way for several years to come.

  9. My girlfriend has been stuck walking in reverse since the Palin nomination. Yesterday, she cleaned the dishes by hand. A Palin win could set her back to 1900, and unable to vote. Resorting only to abortion by stairs.

Get over it, there's more to politics then your right to abort. Why support McCain? He'd only be appointing Originalist Judges to the bench, anyway. Ask for a refund. Your donation would be better spent in the hands of "Barry the baby killer."

  10. It just may make them take responsibility for their actions!

In cases of rape and incest- it could take a long time to prove such actions and by then the child would have been aborted. And how many false claims will this generate? That is what I would be concerned about. Also, there are so many people wanting to adopt a child that is a wonderful alternative to murder.

  11. I have no idea.

I'm 14 and... I'm just scared of her. Shes a crackpot.

    Womens rights? Palin?

I can't even imagine them in the same sentence.

  12. Even in the case of rape she opposes abortion. I have three daughters. I don't intend to see them at the mercy of the right wing taliban in this country. McSame would have at least one Supreme Court pick, insuring the overturn of Roe V Wade.

All these misogynists posting here. No wonder GOP men are so angry. No self-respecting woman would ever give it up for these refugees from the high school audio-visual lab.

Why don't you "men" go shop for another bow tie?

  13. No, not really.

John McCain as President will though.

He has voted against women's rights throughout his entire Congressional career.

I would not worry about Palin, she will probably have to accept less money than Cheney makes now.

Pay inequality is one of McCain;s positions.

He will just give her "training and education" instead.

  14. Yes she very well could set women back a few hundred years.  If she had certain Conservatives put in the Senate as others retire then they could reopen Rowe vs Wade and end it.  Woman would be in the back rooms again for abortions and needing permission from their husbands.  Be very careful. This is a very important election and study what each one is saying.

  15. No I don't think she will set womens rights back... I think she will bring them forward a bit... and yes she opposes abortion and is for abstinance only education... but she is also pro-contraceptive as well.. and she is not against abortion when it comes to the health of the mother...

Why is everyone on both sides not doing their research and just listening to what the media and posters on forums such as Y!A says?

  16. Hey!

    Civics lesson for you:

The Supreme Court would have to rule to change it.  The President can't just reverse Row v Wade!

So, Obama's ads are lying to you!!!!

  17. ............KEEP YOUR LEGS SHUT!!!!!!!!!!! You seem to be more concerned with abstinence than the horrific results that comes with having no control over your harmones.

  18. Don't worry about it.  The Vice-Presidency is basically a no-power job, and she will have very little influence on anything.  It is more important for us to elect responsible, progressive people to represent us in the House and in the Senate.

  19. No, it will just take Women's Rights in another direction.  The sooner it gets to where a majority of the women are, the more success it will have.

However, it will set back the Liberal Agenda of Victimization and the need to have the Government do it for you.   Institutionalized Helplessness is absolutely vital to the legitimacy of the Liberal position.  Taking personal responsibility for your own actions and happiness, makes their whole rationale irrelevant.

Successful, Independent, self-empowered women are like Kryptonite to Liberals.
