Does anyone else think purity rings are turning into a trend?

thanks to disney channel, i don't think anyone will take me seriously. i've been debating on a ring for some time now and i've finally built up the courage to ask for one. now, i'm getting one, i'm excited for it, i just looked it up out of boredom, and all i get is f*cking sh*t about the jonas brothers. it's really annoying me. these rings aren't a joke or something you get because you think you have a chance with these guys. it's a life changing decision and i'm ready to make mine.

okay, i'm done ranting.

i just think that a really serious commitment is now turning into a tween trend and it's getting a bit ridiculous.

I was going to get one since am a virgin and 21 years old : ) very proud .

But Jonas brothers...not sure if any of them are virgins and don't believe all the people who are wearing them are. So now it has no meaning to me anymore just like marriage when g**s are allowed to. Its like its no longer special.

Well I think it is but i think that its for the good I'm glad more people are making those promises and yes people dont take ti serious and just do it be on them but some do take it seriously but to answer your question i think they are maybe starting to be come but not a major trend

yes i do see a lot of people wearing them

but the only thing is that they could be serious about it, and if they are not they should take it off. but you see sometimes things change and the meanings of things change over years cause of the reasons people wear them & that they are wearing things for the wrong reason. don't worry about the other people, just get your ring and be proud that you have it and that you made a life commitment.

i'm actually considering getting one for myself

& this is coming from an average teen who will wait and wait and wait until she finds the right man  that she wants to spend her life with
