Does anyone else think that £1.16p a litre is too much to pay for our petrol?

For our American friends thats $2.30c I think it's far too much to pay! What do you think?

I also find it scary that a pack of ciggies cost around the same as a gallon of petrol..now my dilema is, should I have a ciggie or should I buy some petrol?

We actually have the cheapest petrol and diesel in Europe.

However when the tax and vat is added we have the most expensive.

We can change the situation at the next election, but we won't because we will all get conned into voting for just one of 3 or 4 party labels again.

yes it's far too much. we are on diesel so we are paying £1.25 a litre.

I personaly think it's absolutely stupid! I think that because that the oil suply is running out that the price has to go up, but the fact that like for instance last week i think it went up about 6p and that's only in a week, I mean there's no need for a suden increase like that!!

I think that the goverment is taking far to much of the cut to be quiet honest!

Yes it is.

But APPARENTLY (that's a very big apparently) the prices for petrol are going to lower..

I'm not sure myself, wouldn't mind it happening though!!

Petrol & Diesel are so dear that when my wife demanded to be taken somewhere expensive I took her to a filling station.

A few years ago 50 pence a litre would have been too much.

It's all relative. There is no 'right' price for anything. the price of anything is always down to supply and demand.

Personally I am disgusted at the price of diamonds.

Yes it´s a rip off, but then again it´s rip off Britain all round isn´t it? In Spain here it´s 1.12E a litre, it´s gone up too from 98 cents a litre but it´s still way cheaper than the UK.

But I am afraid we all need it, so we have to pay it don´t we, or end up walking.

For those of you out there that mention the environment etc, try walking to work in all weathers!!!!

no.we buy expensive cars so we should afford to pay at £2.a litre.

£1.16???.  We are paying £1.30 in the oxford area, and yes it is too much.

Sorry, the £1.30 is for diesel.

Compare that to a litre of Coke or Pepsi and retort, that c**p won't even get my car running and it's still just as expensive.
