  1. She knew what the deal was, she probably thought she could 'turn' him. Big mistake.

  2. But how else was her "fairy tale princess" dream going to happen?

  3. She knew exactly what she was doing!!!!!

She didn't marry him because she loved him.............. She was even after Andrew first!!!!!

It was the other way round He should NEVER have married her!!!!!!

  4. she was too young. she genuinely  believed she loved charles. i think she loved the idea of loving a royal . charles and camilla were meant to be.  im happy for them

interesting idea willow. i like  your thinking.

  5. It's a bit late to ask that now.

  6. If he had told her he didn't love her.and was only marring her for the heir and the spare.

She would never have married him, Diana was very young and in love,  she did not expect the shock she got. No one expects to find out their new husband has never loved them. I have always felt so sorry for Princess Diana God Bless her.

  7. In retrospect she should not have married him but as she only 20 when they married she probably assumed that her love would triumph. She didn't know that Charles prefered to be his lover's tampon as opposed to Diana's husband. I wish the rest of us didn't have to know it either.

  8. How many twenty-year-olds that fall in love with a man more than a decade older than they are make similar mistakes?  Diana like a lot of other young women idolized an older man as her prince charming only to discover that dissimilar interests and level of educations make a poor basis for a marriage.

  9. She was young & in love. She probably thought she could change him once they were married.

I think she would have been better suited to Prince Andrew.

  10. It was a tragic mistake but Diana was far too young to realise.

the Queen Mother and Diana's grandmother did not give the best advice in the world.

  11. I agree.  The whole thing was, I don't think he ever loved her in the first place but he needed to to make more heirs and since she had some sort of lineage, they figured she was the best choice. I don't know how much of this she knew since she was so young at the time.  Considering the circumstances, I say she did pretty good. Look at how well her boys turned out.

  12. She seems to be have been very naive.  After all, she was much younger than Charles.  I don't believe he was seeing Camilla on the side at the time they married but he must have been friendly with her.  It's quite normal for a woman to feel jealous about her man's old girlfriends if they are still friends.

As to whether they should have married - well, it was hardly the marriage made in heaven that the press made people believe.  Charles went out with lots of women before he settled down and none were considered suitable.  It's turned out that Camilla was the woman for him after all.

  13. That's not new news to us. She was just being used to polish the image of that old , prude Monarchy.

Nevertheless, she was also used as a breeding machine. Sorry to say that. But I feel bad that they so misjudged her.

  14. Yes,But when you are young and naive and beleave in Love,

plus if you have two grandmothers plotting and planning to make sure any heirs have the right colour blood. She was used as a baby making machine, because she was thought to be not very bright they did not think she would be a problem.

When any women becomes assertive they are thought of as trouble. She had as much a right to a pysical life as Charles and just because she was a mother does not mean she has no right to a private life and caring. But she should never have married a wimp like Charles.

  15. It seems to me she should've just walked, and for all we know she may had tried to break off the engagement, but she was pretty much trapped.

  16. What a strange question!

You can't turn back the clock, things happen for a reason.

If Diana had not have married Charles, she might have remained a flabby, foolish. fashion freak for ever. Or she may have committed suicide.

Because she was where destiny put her, she grew spiritually and emotionally and achieved some great things. She was much loved and will be eternally remembered.

    Because she married Charles.

The world works in mysterious ways; we can't know the reasons why someone does what they do; nor what the real consequences will be.

What is evident in many cases is that there is a symbiosis going on; unhappiness triggers growth, and intimacy shapes the development.

Charles is not a bad person and has done great things. His passions infected Diana and she learned a lot about life and causes.

If she hadn't have married him, she would probably have died without having had the power to do so much good in the world.

Some people think marriage should be all about romance and sexual passion, but isn't it far more sensible to think of it as an education and eventually a working partnership?

  17. This is a bit late. She is dead and gone and Charles has married Camilla. Does it matter what is thought 10 years after the event?

  18. She knew exactly what she was doing. I am not a Diana fan; remember my late mum saying that the girl was going to reap what she sowed!

  19. with hindsight NO

  20. She didn't realise how serious it was until she found the 'wedding' present that was given to Charles by Camilla the day before the wedding - 2 C's back to back on cufflinks - Diana was devastated - she had 24 hrs to make a decision to call it off - remember, she was 21 (?) and had all the world waiting for the wedding with such excitement - what awful pressure - no wonder she looked so miserable on her wedding day - Camilla and Charles should be thoroughly ashamed of what they were up to - him for having no balls to stand up to his mother and say he wanted to marry a woman who was older and married to someone else and her for knowingly sleeping with a man betrothed to someone else. AmI the only one that still thinks things like that are WRONG! ?  Diana was like a 'lamb to the slaughter'

  21. does any1 care anyway.shes bin dead 10 years,so wat leave her alone and dig up sum dirt on some1 else.

  22. what is--is..I do wish she had been appreciated and loved as she deserved though

  23. I agree with Ilkie..

  24. Diana was a "brood mare" just the same as fergie, meant to introduce new blood into the royal family. The pity is, that the mental state of her and her family were not looked into much closer.
