Does anyone else think that a lot of young people today don't want to be parents, they just want to have kids?

Many want to 'mess around'. They want something to replace what they didnt have when they were young, something soft, something to embrace and in some cases yes 'just a kid' and NOT to be parents.

They forget that a beautiful baby or the kid they 'wanted' will grow up some day to become a teen -like them. Thats when things change.

Same with marriage, some of them don't want to actually BE married, but they want the wedding and all the attention that goes with it.  Both weddings and babies are big business...and the demand for Brides and pregnant women who expect to  get treated like "Queen For A Day" and will pay big bucks for it,  it's just gotten crazy that so much time and money is lavished on that stuff.  No wonder we have all these Star Jones type of  "it's-all-about-ME" Bridezillas and Angelina Jolie Momzillas all over the place.  

Can you believe there's actually designer clothes for babies??? ACK! As if rich kids babies don't spit up or throw up or p**p themselves...what-freakin' ever!

Oh, and before someone accuses me of having "sour grapes"  I was married and became a mother before either were considered "cool"  and worthy of coverage in some Hollywood tabloid! Back then (early 80s), getting married and having children was just another low profile aspect of being an adult to be shared with closest friends and family not the whole world...and certainly not for publicity purposes.

not everyone but for some its easier that getting a job to support themselves and an easy way to get a house

Any fool can make a baby. Becoming a parent is a whole different ball game. How can you blame anyone for young people's attitudes, they have minds of their own and make their own decision.
