Does anyone else think that "purity rings" are the latest teen fad in Hollywood?

Hes anyone else noticed that ever since Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez and the Jonas Brothers started wearing purity rings, every little teeny bopper seems to want one now? Do these teens really understand the promise behind the ring, or are they just trying to be like their idols?

well its the celebrities desicion. so i dont think they are copying anyone. but i think other little pre teens out there are just wanting to be like the disney stars they love. its pretty dumb, because they are just copying someone else, its not really what they want.

It's not the fad in Hollywood, CA.  Nobody here believes in that hogwash, those kids will turn out to be whores like everybody else.

They are trying to be like their idols, but at least there is a positive message behind it. Better than then a bunch of twelve year old half naked pop star wannabes running amok like when Britney and Christina ruled the world.

You either will or won't. I did and there were many others who did and we didn't wear a ring or sign something...it is personal, a personal promise and should not be advertised. To each his own...but disturbing all together.

At least the stars that wear the purity rings understand that promise to God (Miley Cyrus isn't that smart so she probably doesn't).Teens that want the rings understand but all the preteens and the kids who want one don't understand. I believe you should only be allowed to wear one if you know what it means (that would subtract Miley Cyrus from that group.) These fans under 11 are just trying to be like their idols. Other fans know what it means and that it is a promise.

miley doesnt have one she has one for publisibly just so she wont look liek a s**t but i have one and im 16 and i wanted one way before i met jonas brothers or heard of them so SHUT UP! but some people do only do it cause they like a celeb.
