Question:

Does anyone else think that the graphics on the Masters coverage are horrible?

It looks like CBS did in the 80's.

The animations of the course are good, but the scorecard and name graphics are pathetic! Anyone agree?

  1. Nope I got HD

  2. I suspect the graphics are for the HD service not for the 'normal' transmission

  3. That's because your TV is from the 80's. I've got a 56" Samsung HD with DirecTV and it's just like I'm there.

  4. they are not asking if the quality of the picture is good but the animations of the scoreboard are old.

This is on purpose.  The masters wants an old traditional feel with no flashy new animations.  For example espn and cbs are not even putting their station icon in the bottom right corner like on every show that they air.  The masters is a very old school tournament and they want an old school feel so thats what they are gonna get.

  5. Yes.  Strangely, I was just noticing this.

  6. Are you watching is High Def, because from where I am sitting, it is crystal clear.  I can even see Tiger unraveling in front on my very eyes...

  7. No not since I got my Digital TV. The screen is clearer then ever before. As far as Mike Toriko he makes Tiger smile and talk during interviews. Also What about the Picture in Picture? THis is new which never had before. You can watch the ball land on the green and watch the golfers as they watch the ball at same time. Then after that they pop to a old masters hi lite from years past for a few seconds with quick interviews.
