  1. The news i hear is about how hotdogs are bad for breathing or weird ****...i dont listen to the news anymore...if anything is that serious IT IS EVERYWHERE so whats the point. I do watch the news but it rarley goes through my mind to the point where i care.

  2. The news is better with the sound off & the ticker tape words going across the bottom of the tv screen!  The reporters seem to add more than they need it.  It's gotten to be one big chat session with a lot of gossip in between.  I read it, then leave the room.  It's on a timer that goes off after I'm gone.

  3. The problem I have with the news is that everything now days seems to be negative and depressing. So to answer your question, yes sometimes it is very pointless!!

  4. I think the problem is we today get every piece of news from all over the world and after a while we become 'jaded'. It's like when you want something real bad and after a while it becomes ho hum when you finally do get it. If an elephant farts in India, you can bet a surveillance camera picked it up and some news guy sends it on the net and it will be on the news that night. A celebrity can't look, talk, or smirk at any one in public without winding up on half the tabloids in the world with some stupid caption under his or her picture. Right now there are only two real issues in the news and they are the war and Hillary and Obama. And they are both getting rather frayed.

  5. Yep, I haven't bought a newspaper in over 20 years and I find myself changing the channel when the news comes on. I listen to Rush and Neal Boortz
