The oilers were young and lost in the final but came back the next year and won it. Do you think the penguins will do the same, because they are so young this year?

  1. no. the Wings will repeat next year. might be over the Pens again.

  2. Well...............it depends.

Next year isn't going to be the same Pittsburgh team as it was last year. Hossa may not be returning and Malone is toast.

Jarkko Ruutu, I've heard wants to test free agency.

    Ty Conklin will be gone.

See, right there is already 3 guys that helped us get to the finals who'll be gone. Maybe 4 (Hossa)

As of now, we're going to have to trust in Ray Shero to make the right moves, and who knows. Maybe we will win the cup.

We have to keep playing hard and believing.

    Good things will eventually happen.

BTW, My dad's friend just contacted me and said he heard from somewhere that Brooks Orpik is being offered a contract and should have a word out sometime soon. I don't know how true that is, just wanted to throw that out there.

  3. Was that English...? I only understood the second part, and no, they won't. Of course, I'm just saying that to get your blood pressure up some more.

  4. Actually, a better comparison would be the 82-83 Oilers.

A VERY young Oiler team led by an amazing young center named Gretzky got totally mauled by the Islanders in a four game sweep, but came back the next year to beat the Islanders.

My concern would be who is Crosby's Mark Messier? The key to the Oilers success was their depth. I'm not sure the Pens have it.

  5. I think the Penn's will with the cup.

  6. Other teams that were young have lost in the final and went into oblivion. And those teams did not have the salary cap to deal with. The Pens team that lines up next year won't be the same team that went to the Final. Malone is likely gone. Maybe you'll have Hossa. Maybe you will not. Brooks Orpik may or may not stay. Then factor in injuries and the fact that there are plenty of hungry, talented young teams out there... it is way too early to speculate. Anything could happen.

  7. no beacause they arent going to b the same team they are going to lose a lot of key players and the wings will shut down every team again to be the first team to win back to back cups since they did it in 97 98

  8. No they won't win...I'm still thinking the Wings will win a 12th cup
