  1. hers is ya...but i actually think some people have really beautiful ears...i love ears...LOL

  2. It's not even called a "guage piercing" as someone said. Gauge is the size of the jewelry. It's a stretched piercing.

No, I don't think it's ugly. Even if I did, it wouldn't bother me...it's not my body.

  3. Yup.

But itsall designed to recieve sound waves in a suffecient way.

  4. it looks fine

and it's not called "a tunnel in the ear lobe"

    it's a gauge piercing

  5. Its called stretching, and i don't find it gross at all..I'm stretching my ears down to a 0g...Besides it's not your body so why do you care what others do to their body?

  6. *vomits*

  7. your face is ugly

    :)

  8. The problem I have with this is that it is a permanent hole in the ear lobe that is very large. How are you going to feel if you get to 70 years and you have a great big hole in you ear lobe like that. It won't make you look like an elegant old lady - if you live that long.

It is also different from making one small hole to put in an earring for a conventional pierced ear. Also, it does not have the beauty or decorative appearance - that say a gold or silver earring has. It was originally done in Africa I think. It does look good done properly by the tribal people of Africa. They keep simple and uncluttered.

But it is not done properly by westerners and as a result does not look as effective. The trouble I think is that we try to combine it with a lot of other piercing that was never intended to go with it. If you look in the photo - the girl has at least three or four other earrings of a different style. This doesn't look elegant.

Also I have heard reports that too much body piercing - the ears included - can cause cancer of the area that has been pierced. I don't know how much credence to lend this. I would stick to the conventional pierced ears though. I think they look nicer on women and girls and will stand you in better stead into old age.

Think long term with body piercing and tattoos.

    Cheers!!!

  9. yes!! its freaking me out

  10. i think it ok only if it's not that big

  11. I like stretched lobes, but even if I didn't its not my body.

Her scabby ear is much more ugly looking to me.

And to the person who said that they're not as decorative as gold or silver, has never come across natural stone plugs, or dichro. Its so pretty.

That tunnel isn't exactly beautiful, but I only wear the clear skins when I don't want to draw attention to my ears. Like a retainer. And they are very comfy...

  12. The tunnel is fine, the jewellery is a little plain though. I have a jewel through my tunnel and I think it looks great.

  13. I don't think it's ugly at all- I think its rather beautiful. However my choice of jewellery would be different. Thats the exact size I'm aiming for an 8mm or 0g for you americans...I'm currently at a 5mm.

If i didnt like it, I wouldnt be bothered, because its not my body and I believe you have to respect other peoples choices. It's a bit unfair to call it ugly and post a picture up of it without the persons permission- I posted this pic in answer to someones question, I didnt have the permission BUT it was to help people see what size an 8mm was...which im sure the person would not mind, as I would not. But the whole ugly comment seems a little unfair to me...
