Does anyone else think the world is on the brink of a major conflict?

Just looking at global trends and things that led up to previous global conflicts ie: Newly emerging global powers, lack of natural resources and over consumption of those resources by existing and emerging world powers, regions already controlled by conflict, loose treaties used as an excuses for possible intervention/action, and strong tensions between nations to list a few. What are some signs/trends you see that lead you to believe one way or another

Looking at it now, probably. War in Iraq Afghanistan, War on Terrorism, the current war in Georgia, Russia threating Poland for U.S missiles in place there, economy going in a down slope, Illegal immigration, religious tensions between Christians Jews and Muslims Africa in a s**+thole as always, and the list goes on!

SADLy history repeats but hopefully weve learned from both world wars that if two nations want to go at it they should leave their allies out of it cuz right know the world is advanced enoupgh to destroy the planet  over n over agian

Our world is always touch and go.  Our cities are dangerous at times, too.  We can't let the state of the world stop us from living our lives, tho.  There are always wars someplace on earth, and most of them we never hear about.  The tv brings it all in the limelight now.  But we are still in a free country and can make a difference in this world.  I would rather be about living well and be yourself, and get a relationship with the God of the universe.  There have always been wars, but the weapons have never had the destructive capabilities that are here now.  I believe God will take care of me until my  time and assignment on earth if completed and I trust Him for that.  The Bible says there will be wars and rumors of wars till Jesus comes back to earth.  Then everything will change.

Personally, I think that we are bringing ourselves into another war (possibly a world war). The russians have recently been (and still are) at war with georgia over some area of land or something, and the americans are helping georgia as they believe this is the country which has done least wrong. Soon enough another country will be involved, possibly England which I am very sure will join the americans and georgians.

Already you can see more and more countries joining. Then more countries will likely join georgia (probably France and some other countries). Then Russia's allies will join forces with the russians in this war.

So it's one small thing which may end up a very large thing. However I am sure this would change the crime rates of the younger people on the streets, but that doesn't mean I'd like to see this happen though.
