I mean they're controlled by money and for the most part when they are in office all they're doing is just being focused on getting reelected and staying in power. This is just my opinion. I'm probably wrong. I just think at the end of the day we as American people are the ones being had.

  1. ohhhhhh NO, theres BIG differences.. one being Democrats like to have choices, and not everything is based on religion! i dont like people tellin me what i should think and feel.. ohh and another big one..

    we HATE war!

  2. Here's a difference

  3. The republican congress under George Bush was the most corrupt in history. We take the cue from our leaders. It was called the "House of Shame". George Bush has been the most corrupt leader in history if for nothing else than for shredding aspects of the Constitution that he swore to uphold as our President. IF you vote Republican, you sanction all of his horrific acts and tell future presidents that they can do what they will to destroy the foundations that have made this country great. All they have to do is lie and fill the american people with fear. This country had been brought to its knees, morally and economically. Voting McCain will bring down the other shoe.

  4. i do not just think i know there is no difference

look at the main issues foreign policy : same

a fiscally responsible government :        same

using government to be in charge of all issues     same

infringing on the citizens civil rights        same

  5. A short background: I grew up in a republican family. So, it kind of grew on me that the republican way was the only way. I loathed democrats. That is most likely due to my upbringing.

Now that I am older - almost 40, I realize that both parties are totally messed up. Both sides have crooks, liars, and plain deceptive people in office. No, I'm sure that not all of them are that way. But, I have seen enough garbage being pulled by both parties that it has turned me off to politics altogether. Nowadays, I just tune it out, and don't pay any attention to the whole political thing. Nothing could put me to sleep any quicker than listening to people talking about politics. It bores me to tears.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, and that is MY opinion. Take it for what its worth...

  6. you are not wrong at all.  both parties just increase government and its intervention in our lives. thats why i vote libertarian.

  7. Well for the most part all politicians are the exact same no matter what they say. You have heard plenty of commercials and ads of mcCain distorting what obama said and plenty of commercials and ads of obama distorting what mcCain said. They tell lies to get into office..basically do whatever they can to get in. And most likely no matter what either says..they are gonna raise taxes and healthcare or abortion will not change. However I do think there are subtle differences between the two. For e.g. with mcCain I can def. see america being in iraq longer and maybe even attacking another country(proxy war with russia) and igniting world war 3 driving america economy down even further or seeing obama not take iran or terrorist threats seriously and america being attacked by nuclear weapons. If you come down to certain situations I think each would handle some things different but for the most part they are the exact same.

  8. Yes, Republicans can see through Obama's bs....  Dem's are blind to it.

    McCain-Palin '08

  9. As you predicted, yes, you are wrong. The differences between the two are enormous in most cases. If there were no differences, how could people identify with one group? The Democrats want to end the war, Republicans want to win. Democrats don't believe in the 2nd Amendment, Republicans do. Democrats are pro-choice, Republicans are pro-life. Democrats want high taxes, Republicans want low taxes. Democrats want more spending and government programs, Republicans want less of it. Democrats want to downsize the military, Republicans want to increase its size. Democrats want open boarders, Republicans want to secure our boarders... The list continues... That's not to say they don't share common beliefs. They both are fighting to make this nation a better place, but that's about it.

  10. Yes both are being controlled by the special interest groups that help get them elected but the difference is how they believe the country should be run.  Republican believe that you give money to the rich and hope it trickles down to the poor while Democrats believe that you give money to the poor and hope it gets back to the rich.

  11. They're both the same when it comes down to it.

They just enjoy nagging at each other.
