Does anyone else think we should have nationals in highschool varsity volleyball?

our team won state the year before and I think we NEED nationals to up the competition. Is anyone trying to get that started?

Not really,Because there is Junior Olympic nationals were teams play outside their state and in High Performance girls can play outside the country.

I think it would be awesome to have nationals for highschool volleyball, but my team would never make it.

Let's remember what high school sports would be nothing without; High School Sports. There are too many kids that play multiple sports and those other programs would suffer. Grades would also suffer due to travel. What you would like to have happen, never will. Wait until you go to college, then you'll realize how much of a stepping stone High School is and not the be all and end all of your life.

I know you feel like you need better competition and that's what it's all about, but it's not. High School sports, and high school in general, is about developing young people into quality adults. Not to make only one volleyball team in this country #1 and the rest inferior. That would be the opposite of what educators are trying to accomplish.

I went to nationals in Minneapolis, Minn. last year but I think the competition is too much for high school. Any high school team would get killed. Even if they think they are the best in state, We were but you have know idea how horrible we did. That is my opinion. Hope I helped.
