Does anyone elses Dwarf Hamster...?

Question

I just got mine about a month ago and it always seems to do this little claw thing where both his hands like swing at my finger, i dont think hes trying to hurt me though. does anyone elses do that?

my mates hammy does tht too her all the time... she said tht its a sign of affection or something

It's normal.

He's either playing around just tapping at your hand to make sure its safe, or hes saying "Don't bug me!"

It is a very normal thing for a hamster to do, one of the hamster's body language gestures.

Mine does that too quite a bit, I feed him every evening from the hand and if I am around his cage at that time, he starts doing that gesture. When I open the cage, he then leaps out of the cage and starts eating from my hand. So I assumed he was trying to tell me that he is ready to have his food or some such thing. Dunno what your hammy is trying to communicate to you but it is very normal and cute to watch.

IT's ok all dwarf hamsters do that. Mine does it, my sister's does it and my bff's does it. Don't be alarmed
