Does anyone elso know about this superstition?

its one ive been doing since i was a little girl. When smoke from a campfire blows in your face you say "rabbit" and the smoke is meant to change direction. Has anyone else heard of it and do you know its origins?

if it helps I'm from Western Australia.

I'm from the Midwest United States, and we said "I hate rabbits."  Weird how no one's heard anything like this

No ive never herd that must try....My usual reaction is Choking and screaming then moving places.

Im from WA and have never heard of it.

We always say that when the smoke blows in your direction it means your beautiful haha...

Im going camping soon so I will try the rabbit thing :)
