Don't get me wrong, I loved the book. But when I did research & found out about the lawsuit the "Finches" have against Burroughs about the book, I had 2nd thoughts. Some of it's believable, like w/ his parents and everything, or the house being messy, & even Dr. "Finch" being such a bizzare psych. But certain details just make me pause & think, really? Plus, the family is was so set on winning the lawsuit & so upset over the portrayel of themselves..if they are how they were described in the book, wouldn't they just not care? They obviously didnt care what others thought of them then- they lived on their front lawn for a while, according to Borroughs! Also, do you think that Burroughs, while living with the Finches, felt like part of the family, or just didn't have anywhere else to go & felt trapped? Because in the book i got that he felt like family. However, he is quoted saying that he thought he could "finally get away frm them" when asked about the lawsuit. What do you guys think?

  1. Burroughs admitted some of the book was exaggerated but some of the events, no matter how hard to believe, happened in some way. Who knows, maybe the Finches just want money, and even more publicity.
