Yea, playing handball helps me perform better in other sports. I get lessw fatigued cause handball has plenty of cardio.  It helps u move side to side easier in other sports cause those re the most common motions in handball. Better hand eye coordination cause your hand has to hit the ball. And on top of that its like using a foreman grill to burn fat off your *** and guts.

Of course I play handball, not only for the physical benefits (you burn over 800 calories per hour). But also for the mental benefits. Since you are required to become ambidextrous (use both right and left hand) you challenge both sides of your brain which has been shown to help brain development. Also handball has been named the best overall conditioner by the President's Council on Physical Fitness. And what's great about it is that you only need a ball and a wall to play so it is one of the least expensive sports to play!

It's a mix a basketball and a goal game, which makes for some interesting games.

I think its a precursor to basketball just as newcombe (if i spelled it right) is a precursor to volleyball.

Being from Europe, I played Team Handball for many years, in Europe and Canada. It should be the perfect sport for North America since it is played inside on a Basketball size court. It gets bigger and bigger in Europe, but not here, too bad!

i dont really think any body plays handball anymore.  at my elementry school they played a modified version of it but you couldnt really call it handball

Well, see there are different forms of the game, at my school we play a version with a small, soft dodgeball, and we pass it and shoot it into a goal. It's really fun.

You can only shoot from behind the three-point circle. (It's a basketball gym with flat soccer goals.)

It's an awesome game, you can even play with a makeshift ball, some classmates of mine and I made one of a crumpled up ball of paper. We wrapped duct tape around it.

which handball? if its the one you play against a wall, then thats the one i play, or at least used to. handball was like the game to play in elementary school. i think its fun for a kid because it gets them going, but its not too crazy. and hey, who doesnt like hitting a ball against a wall, it really gets your anger out.
