Today when I went to the library I decided to take my shoes off and leave them under a table I was sitting at but then walked around the library to look at other things in my socks. It was really comfortable and felt kinda cool to be walking around somewhere public in my socks. Does anyone else take there shoes off at the library or anywhere else in public?

  1. If your feet don't stink go ahead and slide them off under the table.  Put them back on before you walk around the library.  We don't know that you don't have a foot fungus.

  2. No!  That's not even proper or socially acceptable.  Keep your shoes on!

  3. Not really. But I'm in highschool and it can be dirty, but I take my shoes off and slide in the hallways. haha.

  4. Nope.  That is a public health issue, friend.  You are risking your own and other's health by engaging in such behavior. Please stop.

  5. no and probably never will they can steal my shoes  LOL

  6. I can't believe how people can be so negative! People have been that way with me too in the past about my socks/bare feet. Security would basically give me the, "No shirt, no shoes, no service" speech and ask me to leave the mall, restaurant, or wherever I was because I wasn't wearing proper footwear. Man, I hate "shoe police!" I would go in my socks or my bare feet to the library not even bringing them there in the first place! Sometimes, I would wear my shoes/boots there and later, take them off and hide my footwear in a concealed place I know of. That way, it would APPEAR like I came there in my socks/bare feet. It's even more fun in the winter time when you almost know for sure that nobody is going to wear sandals to an informal indoor place. They'll probably wear sneakers and boots. I always like to take my shoes/boots off, put them in a well hidden place, and be with the others, showing everybody (discreetly) - in particular the women - my socked/bare feet dangling and kicking about when everybody else is in sneakers or boots. I do like to be playfully taunted and teased in a situation like this - especially by the women. Not just at libraries, but on public transit, public outdoors, shopping malls schools, movie theatres, and many other public places.
