Does anyone ever watch Animal Cops on Animal Planet?

What possesses people to abuse their animals and be so cruel to them? All the animal ever did is love them and be as loyal as they could be. If people don’t want love and care for them why even get them? Sorry for the rant it just makes me so mad.

Yes I do!!! It breaks your heart to see what some owners do to their pets and why did they get a pet in the first place?Justice is served!

well you should see how it is in countries where there is no animal cops. I think those people have mental issues and are probably abusive to people too.

Yes, I do. It's not easy to watch, some people really have no business owning a pet.

It makes me mad too.  I suppose for many people there are different reasons.  Some of them are...

1)  Ignorance - just don't know how to care for the animal.

2)  Animal collector - Good intentions gone bad, by rescuing many strays, but there's only so many that one person can care for appropriately.

3)  Hatred - some people just simply hate cats, dogs or other animals because of something that happened to them in childhood.  I once knew a guy who hated cats because they used his sandbox when he was a kid and he caught ringworm from it.

4)  The mortgage crisis - Some people are so seriously in debt that they can't care for the pets they already have and don't know what else to do.  They leave their homes and the pets stay behind.

5)  Wildlife pets out of control - Some people keep exotic animals without thinking through the future of keeping the animal...like keeping a tiger, until it gets big enough to eat 60 Lbs of meat per day and shreds the owners home to pieces.

6)  Mental issues - Some pet owners may also have mental problems that prevent them from thinking or understanding what proper care is.

There's probably more reasons, and I'm certainly not defending them, but this is a few of the most common reasons that I've heard in my experience.

ya i watch it too. my dad is a hypocrite b/c he says its bad to neglect animals but when my rabbits are sick he doesnt take them to a vet, so b/c of that my first rabbit died. (ate something poisonous)
