Does anyone feel like there's going to be a major upset at the French this year?

I have this odd feeling that one of the top seeded players is going to lose early... I don't know... Anyone else feel this way?

  1. in ladies, maybe Ivanovic and Kuznetsova maybe upsets...i don't foresee anything big in the draw..maybe Bartoli will lose early coz she had a right wrist injury in her QF against Peng Shuai in Strausborg..and that she said she may withdraw from RG...

    on the men's side,...everything u feel is maybe that ur mind is deliberately make u fear that there will be upsets this year..i don't feel so...may be any of the top 10 seeds may go in early 3 seeds

    ivanovic,maria(no earlier than the R16 and if safina gets through),svetlana,serena,chakvatadze...

    as for the men,i doubt there will be any major upsets. david ferrer or davydenko could though.

  7. Not really. If Nadal doesn't get knocked out in the first or second round, he'll most likely go on to win.

    If you've logged on to rogerfederer.com recently, even the fans there are downbeat. Those are normally the most gullible set of optimistic yuppies you'd find anywhere. That says a lot. Not even his dearest fans expect Federer to win the French Open this year. Even on this site, some are saying next year.

  8. Not necessarily.  I don't know if I would consider Rafa losing to Djokovic or Federer a huge upset, but that is a possibility. If he were to lose to somebody else, before the semis, then that would be huge.  On the woemn's side, the field is wide open without Henin, so there really is no clear cut favorite.  Moreover, the top-seeded woman is Maria Sharapova, and clay is her worst surface, so it wouldn't be that huge of an upset if she were not to win the title.
