I was curious what the other vp candidates thought about the palen decision and figuered out that they feel used. here is what the article said, im curious about your opinions:

Though it was high in shock value, the Palin pick left bruised feelings among the short-list contenders who were not picked -- and infuriated some Republican officials who privately said McCain had gone out on a limb, unnecessarily, without laying the groundwork for such an unknown. Two senior Republican officials close to Mitt Romney and Tim

Pawlenty said they had both been rudely strung along and now "feel manipulated."

"They now know that they were used as decoys, well after McCain had decided not to pick them," one Republican involved in the process said.

  1. Romney and Pawlenty will see the wisdom of this when the Republicans remain in the White House. You don't play fair with the Obama team, because they surely wont.

  2. I think he is using her and I can't believe she is going along with it.

  3. this is politics - its a dirty game... people get used... among other things...

  4. Nope.

I don't think that the other candidates said that either.  I live near Washington DC.  I have not heard anything like what you are posting.

  5. I don't think that either of these candidates were "used." But, there is an inherent difficulty in choosing one's primary opponent in that during a primary the hopefuls have to criticise each other too much that would just be carried forward into November (i.e. Clinton vis-a-vis Obama).

  6. The reason I don't look at it that way, is.. I can't believe that the Palin choice had been made long in advance.  It sounds like a sort of impulse decision made by McCain, against the best judgment of his advisers.

  7. It's to be expected in politics. I believe you'd be hard-pressed to find a candidate who didn't use their Vice President; it's why they pick them!

  8. Could be, but that is the game of politics.  I suppose that all of the candidates for Obama's VP might feel the same way.  If they're going to be bitter about not being chosen, then they should refuse to allow themselves to be considered.  Only one person can win.

  9. Sounds like a bunch of kids whining on the play ground because they didn't get picked to be on the team. Someone is bound to be disappointed. I say, put on your big boy pants and get over it.

  10. the vetting process is what it is. everybody involved knows that politics is a full contact sport. the bruises will heal, hurt feelings will fade. does anyone think the process was different when the Dems went through the identical thing a couple weeks ago?

  11. Yes...................... a former beauty queen with 5 kids!  What's

next Paris Hilton as secretary of defense.  That's hot!

  12. You mean if they feel used like Hillary does??/ I doubt it.. They knwo the choice was up to McCain and he made it...

  13. No doubt Romney feels like America's biggest JACKASS. He was out there for McCain like he already KNEW he was it.

  14. Media speculation was just that. It meant nothing. McCain hit one out of the park with Palin as VP. It is all over but the crying for Obama.

  15. You mean like Obammy used the Hildabeast

  16. Dan Quayle is probably pooping his pants tonight.

  17. I agree totally.  I thought the Republican mantra was "Do no harm to fellow Republican". McCain just used the media to float the names of Romney and Pawlenty so he could slip Palin into Ohio when no one was looking. It was shameful and shows what Republicans are truely like.
