  1. Ever been to New Zealand mate?

Auckland is the largest city - over 33% of the population in one city.

Auckland also has the largest "polynesian" population of any city in the world.

People from New Zealand always have been, and always will be brown. If that's a problem for you, tough luck.

Edit: Nonenzedder, Our International success has less to do high twitch muscle fibre and more to do with great rugby club cultures. Our coaching cultures are pretty good too !

  2. I gather your refering to Aotearoa pakehas. Sure there are lots of them playing. Why do you ask? I had to lauhg at what your getting at mate but may I suggest you get your rugby team going first so that you can try and beat the All blacks before throwing unintelligent questions like this around. Never mind sticking your nose into something you have no clue about. Mercenaries ha,ha,ha,ha,haaaaa!!!!!!

  3. There are some rather stupid replies to this question but then if you ask a stupid question what else do you expect?

I would assume that the questioner is probably white from somewhere in Europe jealous of the multicultural society that is New Zealand. If they aren't jealous they are probably racist.

I would ask the questioner if he is aware of any other teams that have South Sea islanders in it? I could name several.

Oh and finally....New Zealand is made up of south seas Islands.

  4. h**l yeah!

Have a look at grassroots rugby, and you'll see more people playing rugby than you'd have believed. The stronger, faster, more talented, and more motivated ones rise up the ranks. There are a whole lot of people who are just happy to play well, and have a drink with their mates after the match. They're unlikely to rise, but that's okay, they're happy.

At the top level there is a higher percentage of Pacific Islanders and Maori than the overall average, which means they are more likely to be stronger, faster, more talented, more motivated, or some combination of those.

  5. yes they do. and south sea mercenaries?? were called polynesians you uneducated 't**t'

  6. Nope, only polys who like smashing people play rugby in NZ, and if you are a white boy growing up in Auckland, Waikato or Wellington you will know what I am talking about. But once you get older and progress through the grades you will find that the players who are there just to hit people dwindle and are separated from the serious ones...I think some of the early replies to this thread didn't understand the question or something because they started going on about god knows what, stuff that had absolutely nothing to do with the question.

  7. yes they are the best team in the world here is there website

  8. Yeah, Rugby union is very popular in NZ, as it is in many south pacific island nations such as Fiji and Samoa. However rugby league is the preferred type of rugby in Australia. There are subtle differences between these two rugby codes

  9. Of course we play rugby in NZ mate! are you just trying to be a wise guy?iTS OUR NATIONAL GAME ..We are a mixed race of Pacific Islanders eg Samoan,Tongan,Maori,[european] ,scottish, welsh,Irish and English plus other races. All our players are born and bred in NZ,it doesnt mater what color or race you are,i think you should watch the super 14 or study NZ rugby and history of the Mighty AllBlacks and rugby played in clubs and schools and you will see its played by just as many white players. We dnt use that word "white players" because its racist, this isnt sth Africa mate!!!!!!'We are kiwis representing New Zealand.Mcaw,Woodcock,Jack,Williams,Evan... Donald,Carter,Thorne,Oliver,Smith, all with european blood and all starting AllBlacks

  10. Your average New Zealander is basically a Scot with a un-even tan.

If it wasn't for pacific island genetics providing high twitch muscle fibre..it is generally assumed that new zealand would do worse internationally than Lithuania.

  11. I have to laugh because theres so much truth in what you've just said. There are even recent studies that alot of Kiwi(whites i guess)  kids are turning their backs on rugby and playing other sports because the islanders are just so big and dominant in rugby at a junior and senior level. Whether its a good thing or not i cant say.....

  12. Of course they do, though I see where your comment about the mercenaries are coming from. Most of the South Sea Islanders that play from New Zealand grew up there. They probably emigrated when they were very young to live there. In a study I saw a couple of months ago it shows that yes, New Zealand do have a lot of people playing for them that weren't born there but they are also the country that 'exports' the most players to different countries.

  13. Lol, funny question, obviously this guy is trying ta get a reaction, he fully knows well that NZ plays rugby, hes probably trying to say are there any decent white guyz dat play rugby here. I reckon so, it wud be mean to see a game between the best islander/Maori's vs the NZ Europeans(white guys). would be a tight game. The Islanders wud have the muscle, but the whites wud have the better tactics and discipline. I'd say the Whites wud win. Here's my 2 teams Including players from last years All Blacks world cup squad:

NZ Whites: 1. Tony Woodcock, 2. Anton Oliver, 3. Greg Somerville, 4. Ali Williams. 5. Chris Jack. 6. Reuben Thorne 7. Richie McCaw. 8. Angus Macdonald  9. Byron Kelleher. 10. Daniel Carter. 11. Scott Hamilton. 12. Aaron Mauger. 13. Conrad Smith. 14. Cory Jane. 15. Nick Evans

    NZ Islanders/Maoris:

    1. John Schwalger. 2. Keven Mealamu. 3. Carl Hayman. 4. Troy Flavell. 5. Jono Gibbs. 6. Jerry Collins. 7. Chris Masoe. 8. Rodney So'oialo. 9. Piri Weepu. 10. Stephen Brett. 11. Joe Rokocoko. 12. Luke McAlister. 13. Isaiah Toeava. 14. Sitiveni Sivivatu/ Doug Howlett. 15. Leon Macdonald/ Mils Muiliana. add some suggestions for players. sweet. fa
