  1. He is an ignorant, bad mannered, dictatorial Fidel Castro wanna be.

Who thinks his opinion is worth more than the majority of the population.

He just lost against the referendum which means the majority voted against him, that does not mean he will follow according to the generalpopulations will.

  2. its hard to say this because its all perspective really. the poor in venezuela seriously beleive that he is going to help, and he can get away with alot with his 'stick it to the man' attitude. he has many convinced that hes going to bring a massive change for the better which was won him alot of support. though he did lose his yesterday vote (showing that we dont want him in power forever), he still does have quite a bit of support, but soon enough more will realize that hes not governing properly and we'll just elect another. hes got some crazy ideas, some good (and by that i mean idealistic), some outright ridiculous and isn't doing a whole lot for the country. he is good for a laugh now and again for the antics he pulls, though :)

  3. He is the worst president ever in history of my country¡

    He sucks¡

  4. Anyone who believes that Chavez is a dictator needs to search past not only U.S. propaganda, but propaganda in Venezuela.  There are so many reasons why Chavez is quite possible the man who will save Latin America.

First off, it's important to note that the U.S. has a long history of demolishing democracies in Latin America, funding dictatorships, and funding innocent killings of tens of thousands of people such as in Chile and Guatemala.

Second, Venezuela has more freedom of speech than the U.S. ever has.  There is one T.V. station that is Chavista, while all the others (owned by large corporations and opposition) broadcast not only insults toward Chavez, but threats of killings and the coup in 2002.  If a T.V. station in America were to broadcast something of leading a rebellion to over throw the Bush government, it would most definitely be shut down and the participants tried for treason.  The T.V. station that was shut down in Venezuela had not repaid a lease or rent of some sort and there is clear evidence that it acted in the military coup of 2002.

Third, study the Bolivarian Revolution, are country is built by the media and large corporations.  Notice the war in Iraq, was something wrong done? Yes, Sept. 11 was a horrific and unforgivable act of terror on American grounds (check out what happen in Chile on Sept. 11 decades ago... quite interesting), but was this the way to go?  Now Bush is trying to start a war with Iran because they are supposed to be building nuclear weapons even though repeated inspections have turned up negativo, however Bush has continued to say that Iran must admit or it will not be in the best interest of their people... what kind of threat is that?  Iran has large supplies of oil and so does Venezuela.  Chavez has worked to bring the money earned from their Oil back in to Venezuela because large corporations or a minority of Venezuela (the millionaires), were receiving all the profit.

It's hard to determine what is right in wrong when the media and the government have so much control over everything.  If you oppose Chavez, oppose him, but educate yourself on the history of the U.S., not the one taught in schools, but the one that nobody talks about.  Maybe Chavez is going to turn in to an evil dictator and another Cuba, but what if he's not?  What if he's going to wake-up Latin America and they realize they're the rightful owners of the own resources and the U.S. and its Imperialistic attitude is the one taking them all away.  There's a huge possibilities that Venezuela is a better democracy that the U.S., seeing as how the people have a direct vote and no lolly-gagging about going through politicians who take part in big corporations and find no problem with lying to their supporters.

  5. I hate him ..........!!!!

  6. Chavez isn't exactly the reclusive Kim Jong Il of N. Korea here.  Nobody has to invent anything about him.  He appears for 3-4 hours on television every day to spout his nonsense.

He is also NOT good and just.  This quote is from Agustin Blanco Munoz, a researcher at Central University of Venezuela who wrote a biography based partially on jailhouse interviews he conducted after Chavez was imprisoned for leading the unsuccessful 1992 coup attempt. And it about sums it up:

"His model isn't communism or socialism. It's a varnish, a cover for a personalist system that exalts Chavez above all else as the caudillo, the new messiah, not the collective society."

  7. What ever anyone says about Chavez the Americans should but out of Latin America... come to that the rest of the world.

  8. No, he isn't a good president. I think the basic things have been said. He does have nice principles and if he did half of what he promised then he would be a great president... but the sad thruth is that since he has become president Venezuela has become poorer, more dangerous, and has strirred more hate...

With the oil prices skyrocketing it doesn't make sense that so many Venezuelans live under the poverty line... while the only persons getting richer are the ones in the Goverment.

Chavez controls pretty much everything, Assembly, the laws, the judges, the TV (and pleeeeease... the guy before me said we have freedom of speech, that is not true if it was they wouldn't of had closed a TV station for being part of an opposition).

I read a quote a couple of days back, that I thought pretty much defined Chavez. Chavez is the Britney Spears of world Politics. He just keeps messing up, but people just laughs and lets him keep s******g up...

For the guy who wrote before me, I saw that you're going to Venezuela in a bit... I will just let you judge yourself how good a work Chavez is doing. It's always nice when you see it from the outside... yeah, he helps the poors, and he has great ideals... and wants to bring down Bush... yeah, all very nice but not true... just words. Living in Venezuela is not easy, and I'm happy you will get to live that, that way you will get the right idea. Good luck! When you can't buy milk, get robbed, spend 4 hours in a traffic jam, when you pass so many poor people in the street, when you hear Chavez talking for hours, when you heard about the hundrends that die everyday... try to remember what a 'great' job Chavez is doing... put on your red hat and go cheer him on.

  9. The u.s. uses false propaganga to convince the American people to not like what they dont. They are ridiculous. So many people have been murdered by the U.S.'s false propaganda... all the civil wars in Central America, most in Asia and the Middle East were all the fault of the U.S.'s corrupt government who embezzle your money.

Chavez might just be the only good president Venezuela has/will ever have.

  10. Chavez is not a good leader. Good leaders don't go to the United Nations and bash the President like he did. He should never have been allowed to speak this way, it's not respectful. I bet his people in his country never seen it on TV. When he made the cross like  Catholics do, I was astonished that he was talking so ugly.

  11. chavez hasn't been, isn't and will never be a good leader. He's the worst president ever, he's trying to turn our country in another cuba. We just had a referendum (idk how to say that in english) about reforming our contitución (don't know either) and he lost, but he's trying to force us to have that. Here you can't find milk ANYWHERE, butter, sugar, cereal, and for kids only oreos (i like those but come on).

  12. Nobody with a brain thinks that Chavez is a good and just leader. He is a communist who wants to make another Cuba out of Venezuela. It is a lie that he is with the people and gives all to the people. He wants to dictate what people eat, think and do. In schools he says he will give out the text books and any private or public school who don't follow his approved textbooks will be closed. There is no liberty in Venezuela right now and this has nothing to do with the US or Bush as Chavez tries to say.

Let's hope that now that the NO has won, Chavez will call for elections (clean ones of course!) and someone else becomes president. The fact that the NO won doesn't mean Chavez will leave power....
