I get it on my house phone AND my cell phone ... and we don't have a factory warranty on our vehicle. Basically, it goes like this .. phone rings and some obscure out-of-area number shows up on the caller ID, I pick up and it's the same message everytime "this is the second notice that the factory warranty on your vehicle is about to expire" ... usually by then I've hung up ... but it goes on. What is that message about and how can I make it stop?

Apparently other people have gotten this too ... is this just in Florida or elsewhere as well?

  1. Yes I used to get those constantly AND I didn't even have a car. By the way we are in Wisconsin.I think what we did was wait until the option came up  to talk to a "live person".,and explained we don't have a car...at least 7 times ...then finally on the last call ( by the way the first words out their mouth when they answer is "Hello//make,model and number on your car?" FOR ALL DO NOT TELL THEM) I said very casually "Well..I will tell you it is like we said the last 6 times you have called ..WE DO NOT HAVE A CAR!! (shouting at them not the people on Y!A..) well they ended up hanging up on us and never called again! So use this advice how ever you want They did not seem to get it until we got firm with them, okay. The problem is a computer dials up numbers until it reaches an active number..they do it that way. Anyways good luck. Oh I have another person who told a "company her husband was dying and could not talk...they apologized!! Lies are not right but sometimes ...these people don't deserve much respect since you are nice..but they do  not get it,

    Hope this has helped!!

***first post we had tried that button option but did not work it for us..guess there could be two of them!

  2. OMG every day at work.  If you hang on and wait, there's an option to say you're not interested.  You push a button and it never happens again.

  3. I live in Michigan and I get this call at least once a week at my work. The call says it comes from 911 but then its just the same recording that you got. I'm not sure how to stop it, but I know its super annoying.
