Does anyone go to outdoor ice skating rinks?

Yeah I've skated on a temporary rink in Winter but its only there for six weeks and its more expensive to skate there than the indoor rink I usually go to.  Think I prefer the indoor rink.

not usually though because the other rinks are much nicer and closer to where i live.

they are actually pretty fun with morning fog in them. sweet.

I've never seen one of these in the UK but the one in New York outside the Rockerfeller Center was always really busy throughout its season when I lived in NY. I assume that it's still there each winter and still well used.

I have!!  

Although, where I live, all our outdoor ice skating rinks are artificial - and existing only during the winter holiday season.  

I've never skated on a real, natural frozen skating pond!

Yes.  Though I don't know what in particular you're asking, or if you're just taking a poll.  I live near Washington, DC and there's a fantastic one at the Sculpture Garden.  Of course, it's not open right now. :)

I used to before my community built a new indoor community center (field house, ice rink, fitness room, really nice), its way nicer, and the locker rooms, bathrooms and heating are better than our outdoor rink,  and the ice is easier to maintain, our old rink would grow weeds through the ice and would be all bumpy, i hated that. They are fun, but indoor is nice too.
