Does anyone has success on using TiVO HD with Time Warner M Stream Cable card?

All TW did was trying new cards... one card that they've installed don't do anything, the other one that they installed now only showing lower number channels, not the digital tiered channels that I've subscribed and received on other TV at home.. TW thinks it's the cable card again.. because they've sent "hit" to reset the card and not it wasn't responding... Is that right? What's the best way to tell them what to do?

  1. Yes, it could be a bad CableCard.  I have one good one in my TiVo Series3 and one bad one.  Comcast was useless and has yet to replace the bad one.  I just got so frustrated with them that they never tried replacing it that I gave up until I could finally stand to deal with them.

I would ask them to come out again with new CableCards and cycle through them until they have one that works.

Another place to get advice would be at the http://www.tivocommunity.com/ forums.

  2. take the card out and then push it back in and check it.  go to my messages and settings and get into the cable card settings and click on one of the info screens to see if the cable card is "authorized" it will say authrized on one of the screens. cable cards are a pain in the *** but we have luck with them here and there; after having them set hits ask them to send a "addressable setop hit" and then wait 10 mins try channels and if it doesnt work reboot the tivo try again if not you need a new card
