Does anyone have Bose?

We are looking at getting: Bose® 3-2-1 Series II DVD Home Theater System... does anyone have this system? how does it compare w/ other home theater.. is it worth $800

It is fairly good for a two speaker home theater system but compared to a 5.1 or 7.1 system is just does not sound as good.  But it is good where you do not want to run a lot of wires and if you really do not care a great deal about surround sound.

Dear god no!!  Unless it is a space issue don't buy that thing.  Go around and listen to systems in local stores if you find one you like you can probably find it cheaper online.  I listened to hundreds of speakers and receivers before I bought mine and can tell you bose is usually about 200-300 dollars overpriced, meaning you can prabably find a 500 dollar system that souds as good or better than that 800 dollar bose system.  Also go on ebay.  There is a seller HARMAN AUDIO.  They sell refurbished harman kardon , jbl, and infinity speakers and systems.  They are all high quallity and they come like brand new warranty and all.  I bought an ipod dock and know 2 people who bought home theater speakers from them and we are all 100% happy. My neighbor bought a $800 speaker system for $250.  My $350 ipod dock i got for $122.  And they look/sound BRAND NEW!!
