  1. I have had it for three years. The people like Emanuel M are like me before I subscribed to it. I could not understand the appeal. After I listened for one month I would never allow it to go. What amazes me is that it does not matter what you like on radio XM or Sirius has it.

If you subscribe, you will be like me and you wont want to get rid of it in one month.

  2. burp!

  3. I had it until my antenna snapped, then I canceled it.  I don't miss it because I stream music over the web using Winamp.  I also download Podcasts to my ipod and use a transmitter in my car listening to all my own music or podcasts.  That works for me.  I can't see spending $15 a month.

  4. I have had it for about 3 years and it makes every car ride enjoyable whether it's 3 minutes long or 4 hours long....There have been times when I wanted the trip to be longer so I could listen longer...

  5. I have one in each of my SUV's and i love it. I have had them for about 3 years and it keeps getting better. I listen to the news, football, nascar and a few music channels. Hubby likes the old radio show Channel. It all depends on what you like and what you listen to. But everyone that I know that has it loves it.

  6. I have it. Reanne is wrong, it cuts out all the time if you drive under a bridge, in a tunnel, or under trees.

However, that said, when reception is not a problem, it is very high quality, the sound is like you are just in the studio. I only listen to Howard 100 (Stern) because it is soo good, and you SHOULD get it because they are about to merge with XM Satellite radio.

It only costs about 43 cents a day, and I would not give mine up despite reception problems in some areas. Overall, it's really good, and yes, I do like it and it is worth it. You should get it.

  7. yeah, it's far better than a normal radio, it doesn't cut out due to bad reception or anything.

newer cars coming out these days have built in sirius radio's anyway, lol.

  8. I have XM, so while I can't speak to Sirius, I can say i REALLY  like the idea of satellite radio.  Not only at least one channel with what every kind of music you like, but a few with a very eclectic mix of music for variety,

But if you tire of music, there are 4 comedy channels, probably half a dozen news channels, 6 or so talk radio channels,   And one I've just discovered, which is a channel that plays audio books.  And we haven't even mentioned sports, weather, and politics only channels.

I canceled my subscription once but had resubscribed within 3 months.  I also bought 2 boomboxes  for my XM receiver so I can listen at home and at work.

  9. I have Sirius radio and like it.

The radio channels that are offered in sirius let you listen to a wide variety of music. If you want to listen to nothing but 80's music, they have a channel that plays nothing but 80's from bands and groups like Huey Lewis and the News to Prince.

Then you have other channels that play 70's, 60's, 50's, 90's music, love songs, top 20 songs of the week, country songs from the 70's and 80's, country music of today, today's rap, rap from the late 80's to early 90's, classical music, broadway, latin, classic soul, jazz, etc.

Or you can listen to talk radio, from people who discuss politics, what's going around the world around them, to sports, etc.

Plus as others said, you can also have people who do comedy and listen to that too.

I'd say go for it if you want to try it out.

  10. Nope don't even bother getting it

    not worth it

  11. yep, and yeah I mean it's great if you love all different kinds of music because there are so many different stations. Just learn how to use it before you get on the road, haha. It takes a while to get used to and knowing which buttons to press. Some of them I don't even know what they do still, haha.

  12. Yes best investment ever for radio never go back again

  13. I love it.  I got it 3 years ago for Howard Stern.  I still listen to Howard but I also love the options for when he is not on.  XM blows in my opinion.
