I found a good deal on a Sharp - AQUOS 37" 1080p LCD HDTV

Model: LC-37D62U, and I was wondering if it's a good upgrade from my 27" Westinghouse 1080i/720p LCD HDTV.

  1. I don't have one yet, but was shopping for a Sharp AQUOS.

They are one of, if not the best. That's deffinetly an upgrade.

You do want 1080p instead of the older standard 1080i.

  2. Yes. The Sharp is better. I have installed many of those. I would recommend playing with the color temperature and adjusting the actual color scheme a bit. Out of the box i don't like it to much. More questions? Let me know. I've owned a home theater business.

  3. I just bought one this past week. The SD picture doesn't look that great, but movies on dvd look amazing. We are waiting till next to get HD so i am assuming that it will look just like the DVD, HD channels that is. I have been looking on other sites to see how other users have tweeked their settings to get the best SD picture, but so far after one week, based on DVD watching i would go for it. Costco has it for a good price for a couple more days i think...

  4. Yes that's a super upgrade. The Sharp has a processor in it that will give you WAY superior contrast and improved brightness as well.

    Go for it!

    Good luck!
