Does anyone have a big comedown after a Starbucks rush?

Notice their coffee is super-bitter....tastes pretty good, but after the caffeine rush, a couple hours later i feel like c**p.

SBUX's coffee may taste bitter compared to other coffees mainly due to their handling of coffee beans.

Most coffee we buy comes from coffee beans that has only been roasted once, and hence retains their shape and size, but hasn't been been roasted to their pinnacle state. Starbucks however, roasts the beans twice, so many people may notice they "burn" their coffee.

Why is their coffee more expensive? After the second roasting the beans are smaller, and so SBUX needs more for beans for a smaller cup of coffee. Is their coffee weak? I don't think so, unless you'd like a mild heart attack after each sip...

no ... because their coffee is so darn WEAK!  That's why they burn it, so that you'll think it's stronger.  You need to order 1-2 extra shots just to taste the espresso in the lattes!
