  1. yes i have a daughter that is 11 yr old that is on concerta 50 mgs she is adhd .

  2. My son was on it for a very short time.  He didn't have a positive experience with it.  We tried other medications until we found the correct balance for him.  What works for one does not work for all.

  3. Yes, my 7 year old is on Concerta 36.  He's been on it for about a year now.  There are ups and downs but overall he is doing much better in school and his after school program (behavioral and academic).  He was on 18mg at first and that just made him aggressive so the doc up it to 27mg after about 6 months the 27mg had no effect now he is on 36mg and it seems to be working great.  A down side is once the medicine wears off, at the end of the day, he is moody, extremely hungry, and has troubles falling a sleep.  For the most part I'm happy with my decision to put him on the meds.  He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 4 but I waited until he was 7 to put him on meds.  I tried just about every alternative before making my decision.

Now that his ADHD is "under control" he has other issue, as most ADHD kids do, which we are starting to address.  He has OCD and ODD.

Good luck to you, if your considering placing your child on this medication.
