There was a spider in my bathroom. Its body was a perfect heart shape and green in colour and it had like suckers on the end of its legs. It was not very big and I have seen them before in my bathroom. I think they are able to jump as well. Anyone have any idea what sort of spider this is?

  1. not a spider, spiders do not have suckers on their feet unlike flies,so this creature in your bathtub is possibly related to the fly genus

  2. The Jumping Spider.

    No really serious.

  3. You can find out what kind of that spider is from the link below. It's the link about species of spider in Britain.

    Good luck!

  4. If it really is a spider there aren't any indigenous spiders in the UK which are poisonous.

Grab a Photo of it if you see it again and I'll have my friend who is a leading expert in entomology give you its name.

    Cheers.

  5. What country are you from?

edit - well if you REALLY did see it then it is not indigenous to the UK, did you drink too much cough syrup? ;-)

edit - Old Know All, her description doesnt sound like any leaf hopper im aware of.....

  6. I DON'T KNOW AND WON'T LIKE TO FIND OUT.

I'm being very serious because i hate spiders and is so d**n scared of them.

  7. idk but you may want to research it because it could be very poisonous so be careful.

  8. go look up all about spiders! I think it is a leaf-hopper!

  9. the type of spider you describe is known as the orb weaving spider and belongs to the genus Araneidae.they are mostly the natives of Australia, although a few are found in New Zealand as well.did u have any visitors from Australia or did u go there?

  11. I have no idea what type of spider it is but I would call pest control or an exterminator right away, they could be poisonous

  12. http://www.spideridentification.org/

  13. Where do you live (country, region)

  14. I don't know what it is, though a species of jumping spider sounds logical. Don't kill it or call pest control. No native UK spider is known that is poisonous to man. I'd just carefully put it outside, since that's where it came from.

I think that it sounds interesting and attractive. I'd like to see one.

  15. It's a leaf-hopper.  Don't bother about the extermination patrol, they only eat aphids.

  16. a lot of spiders jump and the jumping spider isn't heart shaped

where do you live? take a picture of it next time

  17. Sounds minging, I have no idea what it was, I hope i dont get any, Im in East Yorkshire.
