  1. I have a great idea! Use a filled hand sanitizer bottle and write bathroom pass on it. Make sure everytime kids go to the bathroom they squirt a little out on their hands. This is very sanitary and I would say pretty creative to.

  2. I'm not sure about the creative part, but if you make a pass out of paper and then laminate it I would imagine that you could clean it off easy like with lysol or something to solve the germ problem

  3. If young kids are taking something to the bathroom with them, it will be covered in germs. No way around it.

Choose something that is easy to wash but is cool to look at. Perhaps some kind of toy.

  4. bit more!!!!

  5. Hand sanitizer.  They have little bottles that you can get on key chains now.  You can give yourself a squirt after you set the bottle back in it's place.  That way no germs are being passed around!!

  6. I suggest plastic covered small rulers that bathroom pass on it.

  7. it's called purell Buy a huge jar or bottle at ya local cosco or sam's club or bj's

  8. I used to have an teacher who used rubber duckies as bath passes...the one with the blue bottom was boys and the plain one was girls.  She would make us wash the duck too. LOL.

  9. if you want to keep away "unwanted germs" I suggest you climb into a plastic bubble, germs are everywhere, in the are we breath, the food we eat, even what we sleep on.  If you are that anal about it I suggest that every time a child returns the pass you spray it with disinfectant.

  10. A discarded isp CD with a loop of yarn through it. Mark your room number or name on it in permanent marker and it can make a fairly good bathroom pass.

A high school teacher uses a Barbie doll for the bathroom pass. Most boys in that classroom probably stay at their desks for the duration!

Bathroom Passes: Create a pass for each student in the class. Best to have the pass laminated to last the entire school years. Students place the pass on their desk when they leave the classroom to use the bathroom - or they can hand them to you to wear around your neck before they go...

***Bathroom Keys: Create a boy and a girl key and place them at a designated spot in the classroom. When a child needs to use the bathroom, he/she places the key on the desk. (I think this idea works best since metal does not carry germs like wood or paper or other elements!)

Bathroom Sign-Out Sheet: Place a bathroom sign out sheet in a designated place in the classroom. The student writes their name and record the time they left and re-enter the classroom for a bathroom break. The students can use the data to make a graph and problem solve the longest and shortest bathroom breaks.

Bathroom Pegs: On a clothes peg, write each of your students' names. Next, divide a paper in half and write IN on one side at the top and OUT on the other side at the top. Place the pegs in alphabetical order on the IN side. When the students need to use the bathroom they place their peg on the OUT side of the paper. You may also wish to place the students on the IN side to keep the pegs organized; otherwise, you may spend a few minutes placing them back into alphabetical order each day.

I hope these help.  I had a teacher in high school that would not allow us to use the restroom during her class...I would sneak out when I had to go.  I never got caught thankfully but I think it is disruptive for kids to abuse the bathroom pass!  I don't know what your policy is so I posted a few ideas I found...have fun at summer school!

  11. Super glue the pass inside a water bottle.   Use a durable one like gatorade, they get crushed.  Replace it when necessary.
