. will it work on new cars without major changes in wiring/computer systems on car

This isn't as clear cut but can give you a good idea. And yes the cell can be wired and put into any vehicle as far as i know.

I was surprised how commercialized the fuel cell is becoming with all these chinsy homemade sites i came across.

It does not work... Look at your exhaust ..There is CO2 ,and CO, and NO2 , and water vapor. Do u see any free oxygen ??? To add fuel like hydrogen without oxygen it will not burn. It just goes straight through.
