As soon as he sees it he starts to turn his head and tighten his mouth. It ends up behind his ear rather than in his tummy. Please help!

  1. lol i know that feeling  try a medicine teet that normally works

  2. i went to a newborn care class last night and they talked about this. it may be a little late since you have obviously already been giving medicine by a dropper... first of all since he recognizes the dropper what if you put a little toy on top of it or something so it doesn't "look" like the dropper?   second. the lady said that you need to act like it's "fun" and good, if you are acting apprehensive your baby can pick up on it. and third, you know how babies will suck in if you blow a puff of air in their face? she said to blow at the same time that you squirt the medicine and the baby will open the throat and it'll go down.

however, since your baby has experience with dropper medicine that may not work. there is a bottle out there that you can add milk to and the medicine as well and it'll come out together, you could always try one of those.
