  3. I have been vegetarian for about 5 years now and have made many burgers. I found this one last summer and it is by far the best.

  4. Yummy...all this talk is making me hungry, lol!  Now, I don't know a homemade recipe, but I do know that Boca All American Vegetarian [or vegan] Burgers are extremely good...I think you either put it on the grill, in the stove, or microwaves, and it's great :)

  5. Veggie Burger

    Ingredients

    1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained,and rinsed

    1/2 cup rolled oat

    1/2 cup mushroom, finely chopped

    1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

    1 carrot, shredded

    1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped

    1 clove garlic, minced

    2 tablespoons tomato paste or ketchup

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    pepper, to taste

    Directions

    1Throw all ingredients in food processor (or blender, if you dont have one).

    2Pulse (or blend) until coarsely chopped.

    3Chill mixture, then shape into four (4) 1/2-inch thick patties.



    4Now you can wrap and freeze them for later.

    5To cook, thaw patties in microwave, then broil 4-6 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes (or until warm in the middle).

    6You can do this in your broiler or on the grill.



    7Serve like you do your favorite meat patties!

  8. Veggie Burger Recipe

    Ingredients:

    1 can Chickpeas

    1/2 cup lentils

    1 cup cooked wild rice or brown rice (whatever you prefer)

    1/2 c. cut up steamed veggies

    Directions:

    Puree the chickpeas and lentils in a food processor or blender. Then put it in a bowl and mix in the rice and veggies. After that, form the mixture into patty shapes and cook at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. If they aren't firm and burger like after 10 minutes cook for a little longer.
