    12 ounces fresh raspberries (or 12-ounces frozen raspberries, thawed), divided

    1 quart vanilla gelato (or ice cream), lightly softened, divided

    2 tablespoons almond liqueur (recommended: Amaretto), divided

    2 teaspoons orange zest, divided

    Ice

    4 Italian macaroon cookies (recommended: Amaretti), divided

    Place half the raspberries in a blender with half the ice cream, 1 tablespoon almond liqueur, and 1 teaspoon orange zest. Pulse the blender until the mixture is combined. Add about half a tray of ice and blend until smooth.

    Divide the smoothie between 2 highball glasses and continue making the other 2 smoothies with the remaining ingredients. Crumble the macaroon cookies over the top of the smoothies. Serve with long spoons and a straw.

    1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (4 oranges)

    1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice

    1 cup strawberries, tops removed, and cut in 1/2

    1 to 1 1/2 ripe bananas

    Combine the orange juice, lime juice, strawberries, and banana in a blender and process until smooth. Refrigerate until cold.

    1 large ripe banana, peeled and sliced

    1 cup hulled strawberries

    1/2 cup raspberries, or peeled and sliced kiwi (about 2)

    1 cup plain yogurt

    1/4 cup orange juice

    2 tablespoons honey

    Place all the ingredients in the blender and process on high speed until smooth, about 30 to 45 seconds.

    Pour into glasses and serve.

    3/4 cup frozen mixed berries

    1 banana

    1/4 cup skim milk

    1/4 cup light yougurt

    Blend.

  4. Just get anything you can find :)

    Use strawberries and banana and add stuff to it. I usually blend these together first so it goes really smooth. Add in things like blueberries and raspberries - anything you like really. I tried red apple and it was a bit dodgy...

    Add in a yoghurt and some apple/orange juice to bulk it all up and then blend it together.
