Question:

Does anyone have a good way to get Google to NOT search for products?

So far today I've done two frustrating searches on Google. I was looking for:

1. Information about the clothing brand Zinc.

2. Details about effects of using a laptop cooler (like how much it can extend your laptop's life).

In neither of these cases was I at all interested in buying things, but almost all my results were links to stores. This has happened to me with other searches in the past, too.

I know it's a long shot, but I thought someone out there might have discovered a trick for finding actual information. Any tips?

As an alternate answer I'd accept some good specific info about laptop cooling. :)

  1. Get a list of all of the stores that are coming up. Then after your search put: -store1 -store2 etc. replacing store1,store2, etc with the store names.

  2. i dont know

  3. try to use google feature search to specify what you are looking for..

use '-' minus sign to exclude words like, -discount, -buy, -sale, -store..
