Question:

Does anyone have a home remedy for getting rid of greyish/black scratches on my white corelle plates?

They're pretty old, but the edges are still pretty.

  1. I have the same problem.  Some of them come off by scrubbing with those thin scrub pads.  I'm a guy and don't know what you call those things.  Sometimes they work but some of the scratches (more like marks) won't budge.  I can't figure out where they come from.


  2. Hey Scared & Dink,  thanks for getting me off my duff to see if I could get the same thing off my corelle!  Good old Barkeepers Friend and elbow grease did it.  Have one bowl I kept noticing these marks on,  but just kept putting off trying to get them off. . .

    -just in case you're not familiar with Barkeeper Friend; it's like Comet or Ajax cleanser, but much less abrasive.  I use it on all kinds of things and it doesn't scratch.
