  1. Any bully breeds, boxers, bulldogs, pit bulls, staffordshire terriers, bull terriers, mastiffs, cane corsos, dalmations, chows.

  2. Try to possess as much information as you can maybe is one option, however it is time consuming, here is the one i have ever had good experience with.http://insurance.free-onlinetip.info/ins...

  3. it varies from company to company.  The dispostion of the dog is the ultimate need for underwriters to consider.  Many of the previous answers have listed out several dogs that I have seen on several list but they vary from company to company how they will rate those animals.  I have seen some cats that should not be on home policies but they are usually not asked about.

  4. The company that I work for does NOT care about the breed of the dog, but does not like to insured homes with dogs that have bitten someone.

Dogs insurance companies do not like writing is : if the dog has a history of being temperamental, nervous, biting, trained as an attack or guard dog, or the dog was trained as a fighting dog.

  5. I actually changed home insurance companies because Liberty Mutual did not like the fact that I had two Siberian Huskies.  Now I have American National Property and Casualty (ANPAC) and they have no problem with my dogs.

Each company will be different based on their experience and history.  Usually it's pretty much the same breeds - Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Dobermans, in some cases German Shepherds.
