Does anyone have a naturally quiet dog?

Yes, I have 2 cockapoo's and one doesn't bark at all, she sleeps most of the day. And the other barks everytime someone walks by our house.

My dogs are naturally quiet after I train them to be quiet.  There is nothing easy in training a dog, but you get out of them what you put into them, so if you are willing to put in the training time, you can get a quiet dog.  The stress I went through with my puppies was worth the quiet I enjoy now.  It just takes work.

Yes. She's a Lab mix, and it's really sad because I love the sound of her bark. She very rarely barks, but it's such a lovely sound.

My neighbour's 3 year old Yorkie is quiet as a mouse ! He never barks, and if he does it's because the door bell rang..never barks even if there's a squeeky toy around or when he's playing with other dogs !

Weird..I thought they were yappy but not him ! :P

Our APBT is almost two years old and hasn't barked once. On a rare occasion she'll whine, or growl, or make grunting noises when she plays, but she's always been on the quiet side.

I have a 13inch beagle, famous for the noise they make, who is so quiet. many of my neighbors have beagles also, and they are so noisy yowling when ever anyone comes close. not mine though.

yes my 3 year old golden has barked 4 times in her life.  However, when we are gone and return she greets us with a whining but its her way of talking to us.

I haven't had one, but have seen them.  Even breeds of small dogs that are usually naturally yappy!

Yes, i have even seen very insecure dogs that are too scared to even sniff you.

Copper is a heinz-57 and has never barked a day in his life. He's dead silent, he doesn't even whine!

We think it was because he was abused prior to coming to live with us, so he's just afraid to make any noise. But he's about ten years old now and hasn't made a sound yet.

i do it seams like lol the only time they bark is if some one gets to close to the boat or front door when im alone

yes it is a sheltie she never barks

no i had to train mine because it used to be very noise but i trained him and now he is quiet. i think every dog barks you just have to train them properly and the problem will be resolved.
