  1. You van make a cordial with almost any soft fruit by simmering fruit pound for pound with sugar, stopping before it sets into jam! Strain and bottle in sterilised bottles, and dilute with water or soda water to taste. Also good with boiling water as a hot drink. If you can, put the bottles, with tops loosely screwed on in a large pan, up to their necks in water, bring to the boil slowly and simmer for 20 minutes. Take out carefully and put on a heat-proof surface and tighten the tops; they will keep for about a year. It makes good icecream topping, too.

For stone fruit add a bit of water so the syrup doesn't stick.

The old English name for these cordials is 'rob' -- elderberry rob is especially good.

Mix together the whipping cream, blueberries, lemon juice, and sugar in a blender.

Top with a few strawberries. This refreshing drink is great on a hot day.

  3. If you have a juicer then you can mix blueberries with apples - that tastes really good although it's very simple.

  4. I found this recipe on cook.com

With smoothies...I always throw a few ice cubes into the blender. It REALLY makes a difference! Actually any blend of a juice or milk--with blueberries, a banana, yogurt and ice is great!

  5. Get some blueberrys and some old bananas mix in the blender with some plain yogurt and some milk, and if your blender lets you add some ice
