Does anyone have a recommendation on websites for home brewing?

I am looking into starting to home brew and would just like to know if anyone with experience could recommend websites with good quality products and the best prices. I am building most of my brewery out of lab grade materials but I do need cappers and the like and quality brew kits. Thanks.

  1. http://beertwon.org/homebrewing/index.ht...

Under homebrewing and then on the left "homebrew shops" you will find a page that list suppliers all over the USA. Perhaps a local place is best as you will get personal attention and many offer free classes on brewing.

  2. Go to http://www.brewyourown.com and click on Reader Resources. That will give you links to the catalogs of the magazine's advertisers. There is one (brewbyU, I think) that used to give free shipping on orders over $100. Between a starter kit and supplies, you will go over that amount.

  3. Midwest Supplies... http://midwestsupplies.com has been a life saver for me. Not only do they have great pricing, but the staff is really helpful. Any questions or problems that I have they've solved without making a stink about it like some other supply shop workers.

I've got a brew supply shop here in Chicago that has an alright selection and good prices, but the staff acts like you're a nuisance when you ask them questions. So I gladly pay the extra money for S&H or drive a little further to another brew shop to give my money to people you appreciate my business.
