Does anyone have a schematic for connecting a DVD recorder to record shows from a tivo?

I'm trying to connect a pioneer dvd recorder to record shows from my series 2 tivo, but I can't figure it out & the schematic from the dvd manual isn't real helpful. The dvd & my tv both have front inputs, if there are any shortcuts using those. If anyone has a schematic, to go along with any written directions, that would be helpful.

  1. Hi blaqbaron,

Connect the output from your TiVo into the DVD recorder (this can be to either the front inputs or the jacks on the back  labeled "input"). Now connect the jacks on the back of your DVD recorder labeled "output" to your TV (the front inputs on the TV will do fine).

This should allow you to record from your TIVo and monitor what you are doing on your TV. There is a slight delay on DVD recording so start the DVD recorder then start the TiVo.

    Norm

  2. No diagram but....

I run my tivo (one of the two outputs at least) to the back of the DVD recorder and then to the TV.   Just keep track of which video input on the tv you use.  You'll have to find it using the remote control....tv/video button.
