I'm planning to move there and I was wondering what areas within 30 mins of Phoenix are nice to live in.

  1. Buckeye, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Chandler are all nice areas.

  2. Everett Washington.

    None within 30 minutes.

    Try 1.5 hours or so.

    Prescott is nice.

  3. Buying a house or renting?

The answer there can make a difference.

And technically, areas of Scottsdale and Tempe border Phoenix.

Locations within 30 mins - Gilbert, Tonopah, New River, Queen Creek, Goodyear, Glendale, Paradise Valley, Maricopa, etc.

If you have a specific location in Phoenix I could even give you an idea how long (driving time) it takes to get from that local to each surrounding city.

The best place to live depends on what you can afford.

Cave Creek as someone mentioned may be nice but certainly not in everyone's budget.

If it is you might consider Carefree too.

  4. Phoenix is a big city, so it depends on where in the city you are asking about. If you're going to work in the Phoenix area, I highly suggest moving close to work because of the traffic.

If you're going to work from:

    Down town to West Phoenix - I suggest;

Goodyear, Surprise, Peoria, North Glendale, Cave Creek

Dow town to East Phoenix - I suggest:

    Tempe, Chandler or Scottsdale.

  5. I would choose either Peoria, tempe, or scottsdale as long as you can get a nicer part of those towns they are nice to live in..

  6. Cave Creek is gorgeous... amazing community but can be very pricey.  Try Scottsdale or Tempe... they're very nice but not as expensive.
