Does anyone have a thought on snorkeling in Cozumel since the hurricane in 2005? Is it worthwhile?

We are off on a cruise this weekend with only a short time in Cozumel. We don't want to use up our short amount of time on the island snorkeling unless it is really good snorkeling. Thanks to anyone that can help us with this decision!!

Go to Chankanaab National Park. Good snorkeling. You will not be wasting your time.

Hurricanes actually clean the zone. The sea is light blue right now and snorkeling or scuba diving is great.

I don't know about Cozumel, but in Xel-ha the 1st week of Sep. was bad.  Locals said Cozumel was OK.
