Does anyone have alopecia areata after taking Prevacid/Zantac????

Question

I had gastric problems at the beginning of this year, reason why I went to a gastroenterologist to check if I had an ulcer or gastritis. The doctor told me that I was fine but probably my stomach produces too much acid, reason why he prescribed Prevacid (lanzoprazol). A couple of months after my hair starting falling off my scalp and I developed alopecia areata. They changed me to Zantac (ranitidine). I am scared that the use of these types of medicines can be linked to this problem. Have any of you had similar experiences? Can you recommend any medication that can control excesive acid and not cause alopecia? I am also having an irregular period that could be caused by the stress I am having or could be linked to some hormonal unbalance. What do you guys think? Can anyone help me?

well i had an ulcer so they put me on previcid and i had no problems wit any things what so ever exept some weight gain but u should definitly look into ur hair loss and irregularity ok

zantac does not cause alopecia ,
